COVID-19 Statement

Thank you for taking the time to review this statement.  While we are thrilled to be able to return to class in September, we do want to ensure that we do so with everyone's health and safety at the forefront. We also know that, as parents and students, it is important to you and your family that you understand what to expect.

First, please know that we follow all government and public health recommendations and policies in all of our classes and communications with you.  We are also pleased to advise that all of our staff have been fully vaccinated.

We have also taken some additional measures to ensure the highest standard of care. These include:

a) Limiting class sizes to ensure there is extra space to allow for physical distancing of at least 2 metres between students while in classes;

b) Asking all participants, staff, and volunteers to complete a wellness check prior to arriving at Centre Stage at any time (e.g., for classes);

c)  Physically marking out spaces in our facilities to ensure physical distancing, make sure everyone has a "space" that makes them comfortable, and ensure that the spacing requirements clear and easy to understand;

d)  Offering "Zoom Attendance" to those students who are feeling under the weather or otherwise cannot be permitted entry as a result of their responses to the wellness form.  This is also an option for students/ families who may not feel comfortable returning to the studio at this point;

e)  Adjusting procedures to eliminate congestion in common areas, closing the building to the public at this time and asking that only participants, volunteers and staff enter the building;

f)  Cleaning common touch surfaces between each class;

g)   Providing hand sanitizer and access to soap and water in the facilities;

h)   Altering our class and performance delivery to meet public health restrictions as necessary;

i)  Requiring the use of masks.  Of course, if an individual is unable to wear a mask for health, religious or other Human Rights Code based reasons exemptions will be provided; and

j) Developing and following a comprehensive safety plan in accordance with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Labour recommendation and requirements.

We will, of course, continue to monitor the situation and make the appropriate changes based on best practices and the government and health regulations as necessary.

We hope to see you and your family in the fall and look forward to what we know can be a great 2021/2022 season.
